Welcome to Hooked4life Fly Fishing

I offer fly casting instruction in either conventional overhead casting or Spey style casting. If you are just starting out and have yet to buy a rod and reel, I have equipment available for every course offered. Also available are courses on how to catch fish with a fly rod. Check out my Casting Instruction section for more details.

People starting out in the world of Spey casting can be overwhelmed by the choices and the often conflicting advice they receive. To help clear up some of this problems associated with starting out, I have created a new two hour course titled "Introduction to Spey Casting" that is designed to demonstrate the three styles of Spey casting, the tackle, and the associated style of fishing, allowing the client to make an informed choice as to which is best for them. The client also has the option of adding two hours of casting instruction in the chosen method. All equipment will be supplied.

The Spring 2013 issue of The New Fly Fisher ezine contains an article written by me, titled the Basics of the Spey Cast. More articles will be forthcoming on Spey casting and swung fly fishing so look for them in future issues.
