The first time I ever tried one of Scott's rods was at the June 26th, 2010 Grand River Spey Clave held at Bean Park, Paris, Ontario. At the time I didn't know much about the rods, but the first cast with one really opened my eyes. Hard to believe that a big rod could cast that lightly, yet send line that far. It moved the bar when it came to low effort casting.

Little did I know then that a few months later I would end up as part of Scott's pro staff.

I now have four of his rods: three in the original line up and one of the newer shooting head series. I've written up reviews on each one so prospective buyers can gain an idea as to what they are like.

Scott also puts out a series of lines that I have written reviews on as well. Expect more new products in the coming months.

Matching rods and lines can be a challenge, so I have assembled rod--line matching charts to help DTX rod owners match their rods to various lines. I'll be adding lines to it as the opportunity arises to fish them.

If you live in Southern Ontario, Golden Horseshoe area and would like to try one of my DTX rods or DTX lines, send me an email and we'll see about getting together.
